I agree with David Goggins: “focus on your strengths” is some of the weakest shit out there.

What type of advice is that?

You are so fucked up, we are so fucked up, and yet you want to double down on what works?

Nothing works! You don’t “work”. You’re fucked up. I’m fucked up. Your “strength” is just a gleam of hope if anything.

It’s a facade. It’s a cover-up.

You sit there making a weak foundation stronger and stronger and building all of this weak shit around it to hide who you really are.

You focus on what works.

How about what doesn’t?

How does you or I allowing our weaknesses to continue to be weak making anything else better?

How does that help your mind? How does it help it when all it does is reinforce that idea of “I could never”?

That’s what’s wrong with us nowadays. We’ve forgotten that our dreams are actually possible.

We’ve forgotten that we can indeed pursue something, that we have an unfathomable amount of potential.

We’ve forgotten that it all just requires work. Hard work. Not that easy focus-on-your-strengths work.
